The Roving Learners is a small private school dedicated to addressing students' individual academic and behavioral needs.
There is a strong focus on social emotional learning and pro-social skills. Students regularly engage with the public, honing social skills under the watchful eyes of the teachers. Students follow the same theme each day or week, but complete different activities depending on their skill level and interests. |
Roving Learners has two passenger vans we use to rove around the city and surrounding area. We are out two-three days a week to visit places.
The other days, we stay at our homebase (South Central Austin) to focus on academics; reading, writing, math, science and social studies. The skills students are introduced to at the home base are reinforced and put to use as we rove around town. |
We operate year round. During the school year, we follow Austin ISD calendar. During the summer we take a few breaks.
The 2023-2024 school year begins August 14, 2023. School day is 8:00-3:00. Aftercare is 3:00-5:00. Tuition for the year is $13,200. There is a $800 fee to help with gas, snacks, entrance fees, etc. In addition to full time options, we accept part time students too. |
